In eighth grade his team of four years placed fourth in the World Competition and received the Creativity Award for their mimed folktale of how color came into the world. The infusion of color into life, besides being an analogue of the history of cinema, represented a burgeoning of consciousness and aesthetic interest in Andrew's life.
He performed in his father's award winning experimental films “Testament of the Rabbit” and “First Surface,” and continued his stage acting through high school.
Music was also essential to his artistic development. Some of his projects include playing drum set in an improvisatory 'jam-band', composing a piece for his concert band, and a short rock-opera for a Latin Day competition.
He was accepted at the Concordia Film School, the California Institute for the Arts, and Syracuse University's School of Communications. He now attends Bard College where he says he "feels privileged to be surrounded by inquisitive minds".
Now most of his energy is devoted to the study of evolution and planning for his next feature, an action/drama called “Berserker,” on which he working with actor, technology specialist, and martial artist Josh DiMarco.
