Tampa International Film Festival
April 5-8, 2003
Hosted by the University of Tampa, the Tampa International Film Festival - Cinema for a New World continues the celebration of cinema in Tampa, starting up on Saturday, April 5, the day the Hillsborough Community College - Ybor Festival of the Moving Image closes.
The Festival features three major films: "Cuckoo" (Russian) by Alexandr Rogozhkin, "Man of the Year" (Brazilian) by Jose Enrique Fonseca, and "Nights in Constantinople" (Cuban) by Orlando Rojas.
Films will be screened at the Reeves Theater at the University of Tampa, Channelside Cinema and IMAX, and the historic Tampa Theatre.

Tambay Film Festival
April 25-28, 2003
Scheduled for April 25-28, 2003, the Tambay Film Festival, featuring documentaries, shorts, features and student films by independent filmmakers and video artists from the United States and around the world, has received a record number of submissions for the 2003 event.

Tampa Bay Latin Film Festival
April 25-27, 2003
The Latin Film Festival brings together the Anglo and Latin cultures to foster the appreciation and enjoyment of Latin American films.
The festival gives the community the opportunity to view award-winning international films. Spanish and Portuguese-language films have English subtitles.

Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival
October 2003
Concluding its 13th year last October, the Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival showcases films and filmmakers exploring alternative lifestyles.
"Ruthie and Connie: Every Room in the House", a moving tale of Ruthie Berman and Connie Kurtz, two working-class Jewish housewifes who left their husbands for each other, was selected as the recipient of the 2002 Audience Award by the more than 12,000 attendees of the Festival.

Tampa Bay Jewish Film Festival
February 28-March 3, 2003
The sixth annual Tampa Bay Jewish Film Festival rolled into Tampa Theatre this year, bringing with it five new movies that touch on aspects of the Jewish experience from France to North Africa to Belgium to Wales, with several stops in between.
Channelside Film Festival
April 4-8, 2002
This festival's second annual event was held April 4-8, 2002. The festival presented over 60 documentaries, shorts, features and student films by independent filmmakers and video artists from around the world. Filmgoers came from around the country, with approximately 45 percent of the audience members being drawn from the Tampa area.
