Dan Setton studied film and television in London
1975 -77.
In 1978, he returned to Jerusalem where he worked
in Israel television as a film director for several
years. In 1988, Setton formed SET Productions,
a film and television company with offices in
both Jerusalem and New York.
His film, "KAPO", was the winner of the 2000 International
Emmy Award for Best Documentary. KAPO, co-directed
by Tor Ben- Mayor, is a film about the role assumed
by many Jews, living in the impossible reality
of the ghettos, and later in Nazi concentration
camps, who helped to keep the machine well oiled,
and were drawn into sharing the burden of guilt.
