Dee Hood has been featured in
a number of solo and two-person shows in the Tampa-Bay
area. She has also been included in local and
regional juried exhibitions including "Visual
Voices" at the University of West Florida
in Pensacola, "All Florida Biennial"
the Polk Museum, Lakeland, "Biennial II"
The Florida Gulf Coast Art Center, St. Petersburg,
" The Tampa Museum Biennial", Tampa,
and "The Florida National", Florida
State University, Tallahassee.
Hood has received various awards and was the recipient
of the Hillsborough county Emerging Artist Grant
in 1993. Her work has been selected for exhibition
in nine national juried shows, among these are;
Mills Pond Gallery in New York, Allentown Art
Museum in Pennsylvania, and The Minnesota Center
for Book Arts in Minneapolis.
Hood received an M.F.A. from The University of
South Florida in 1990 and has been teaching in
the Core Studio Program at the Ringling School
of Art and Design since 1993.
