Mindbomb is a collaborative of film, video and graphic artists who make artwork out everyday crap laying around in our minds, the debris
from everyday ads.
By utilizing marketing and advertising methods as well as film/video production techniques, Mindbomb amuses and enlightens with spoofs of commercials hacked
from national broadcast, cable, and satellite networks.
According to the artists, the advertisements Mindbomb parodies "show little regard for our future health and mental welfare."
"Meanwhile, they exhibit more regard for the transformation of the culture into a blind, obese, oil dependent, pharmaceutical/alcohol/nicotine addicted,
sports/video game distracted demographic."
"The Mindbomb pathology is subversion, applying an equal and opposite spin upon advertisements; infusing humor, polished aesthetics and ethical values
to form something closer to the truth. Mindbomb hopes to provoke thought and discussion, ultimately to reclaim and protect our littered mental environment."
Donations and proceeds from Mindbomb tapes and shirts help to defray the prohibitively high costs of this type of presentation.
Mindbomb shows in galleries and museums, and will be presenting on public and educational television in the near future. You may contact Mindbomb at jolt@mindbomb.tv
