Nathan Wolek produces work that encompasses multimedia performance, audio installation art, signal processing techniques, and the analysis & history
of electro-acoustic music.

Nathan was a founding member of Lucid Dream Ensemble, a multimedia performance group that creates immersive events using multiple channels of audio and video. While a member of LDE, he performed at the Block Museum (Evanston, IL), the Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago, IL) and the Digital Arts Ranch (Tempe, AZ).

His audio installations have been featured as part of the Sonic Circuits, New Music Marathon and MayFest events. These multi-channel sonic environments explore spatial diffusion strategies and the relationship between visitor and location.

Nathan¹s software development includes VST plugins and Max/MSP externals that enable a variety of signal processing techniques. He is well known to electronic musicians as the creator of the Granular Toolkit, a software package that is currently used by artists around the world.

He is also an active researcher, having presented papers at the SEAMUS, SMPC and ATMI national conferences on a variety of topics.

Nathan has taught previously at Columbia College Chicago and Northwestern University. He is currently spending a year as Visiting Lecturer at Stetson University. More information is available at his website.
