Visiting NYC performance artist Pat Oleszko presents
this one and only original performance created
especially for the festival. The performance,
staged as a talent show, was inspired the idea
of "stars" on a stage, the borealis
effect in night skies caused by solar particles
striking earth's atmosphere, and by the NASA landers
currently on Mars.
Oleszko is creating the performance with 40 other
visiting filmmakers, HCC students, and area performers.
Oleszko was recently a resident artist at the American
Academy Rome and is known for outrageous performances
and illustrating a peculiar wit. Known as the
“Ms Tricks of Dis Guise”, Oleszko
has a large body of work, which includes lithe
performances utilizing elaborate costumes and
props, films and installations.
