"Trumpetspeak"

Trumpetspeak is a collaborative composition written by Michael Theodore and Glen Whitehead. All of the sounds in the piece are derived from sounds that are performed on the trumpet. In some cases these are severely distorted, and in others they are chopped up and reassembled into driving rhythms.

The piece consists of a series of landmarks which both Whitehead and Theodore improvise their way through. The live processing is done with Max/MSP.
