Michelle Dussault is an artist committed to both painting and video art. In addition to art she has studied Cultural Anthropology and African Studies. She earned her MFA in painting from the University of Tennessee (2003). She began playing around with video in 1999 and has been screening her video work since 2000. She has been teaching painting, drawing and video art since 2002. Her use of caustic wit to address issues of race, class and gender is a persistent element in her work.
