The film follows 10 HCC students as they travel to Africa and build five homes in the beautiful
Keybi Village. This student production features footage of one of the largest waterfalls in West
Africa, and Kakum National Park.
This natural reserve is home to elephants, monkeys and
exotic cats as well as one of the longest suspended bridges in the world.
The Ghana Project
also leads students through Cape Coast, which houses one of the oldest slave fortresses from
the Atlantic Slave Trade. During the tour, students walked through holding cells up to the “Gate
of No Return.”
The documentary depicts the rich culture and history of the African nation as well the emotional
transformation of ten students from Ybor.
