Angelica Macklin

"Masizakhe: Let Us Build Together" is Angelica's first feature-length documentary. She owns and operates Open Hand Reel, an independent film company, and produces videos for political campaigns, events, awards, fundraisers, and volunteer programs.

Her clients include the University of Washington, Seattle Children's Hospital Guild Association, Multicultural Alumni Partnership, The Seattle East Timor Relief Association, Pierce County Instant Run Off Voting, Seattle Public Schools, and The Strengthening & Sustaining Teachers Project.

Angelica has a BA in Social Sciences from Washington State University, and holds the first Marsha Barton award in creative non-fiction for her written work: "A Walk Through Jerusalem."
