Scott Macklin
Scott Macklin serves as the CIO of the College of Education at the University of Washington and has been working with South African schools for the past six years to help township schools build relevant technology into the curriculum and create an infrastructure that supports teaching and learning within the context of township life and resources.
Scott uses film as a powerful medium for learning and building meaningful relationships that create opportunities to engage in acts of social justice.
This is Scott's second feature-length documentary. His first film "Tribal Journey: Celebrating our Ancestors" premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival in 2003 and went to the Newport Beach Film Festival, Port Townsend Film Festival, Native American Film Festival as well as had screenings at the Washington State Historical Museum and various educational settings.
