Welcome to Tampa

Greetings:

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Third Annual Ybor Festival of the Moving Image. The City of Tampa commends Hillsborough Community College and the many sponsors for their efforts in supporting the arts while also bringing you one of our area's most recognized and celebrated film festivals.

This year's festival will focus on the achievements of Canadian cinema, giving each of you an opportunity to experience and appreciate a wide variety of films from a country that leads the world in supporting its filmmaking industry. As in the past, this festival will include features that both entertain and enlighten its audience while highlighting the moving image component of film, art, dance and theater.

We appreciate the support of all those involved in organizing and supporting this event over the last four years. Your commitment has played a large role in the success of our artistic and cultural industries as well as in our efforts to promote Tampa as a "City of the Arts" - a place known for celebrating the works of artists, writers and performers from throughout the world.
