Ivan Kavanagh
Ivan Kavanagh has written, produced, edited and directed ten short films and four features.
His short film Bandage-man (2003) played at over thirty festivals worldwide including the Slamdance Film Festival USA and The Belgrade Film Festival, where it won the award for "Best Short Film".
His next film, Reflections (2004), won the best cinematography award at the Portobello Film Festival 2004.
In 2005, Ivan directed his first feature film Francis. His second feature film The Solution, is currently touring worldwide and recently won "Best Drama" at the Portobello film Festival 2007 in London. So far it has played at over 15 festivals worldwide including The Durban International Film Festival in South Africa, which called it "a gritty masterpiece".
Ivan's third feature Tin Can Man, won "Boundary Breaking Best Feature" at the Sydney Underground Film Festival 2007. Tin Can Man will be a feature presentation at the 2008 Festival of the Moving Image.
He has just completed work on his new feature film Our Wonderful Home, and is currently working on two more scripts for feature films to be shot in 2008-2009.
