Jennice Ripley
Jennice Ripley is a veteran of the film and television industry who for twenty years has been an independent producer based in Newfoundland and Labrador. Over the course of her eclectic career she has produced feature films, television drama, comedy series and documentaries.
Television highlights include the Gemini award winning, eight hour mini-series "Random Passage", which she produced for CBC Television in 2002, and more recently, the CBC comedy pilot "Rabbittown" and the History Television docudrama "Stealing Mary". She has also produced award-winning documentaries such as "Changing Minds", "Puppets Against Aids" and "Thinking Positive". Her feature films include "The Bread Maker", "Extraordinary Visitor" and "Secret Nation", and most recently "Down to the Dirt", for which she acted as Executive Producer.
She began developing "Crackie" with writer/director Sherry White in 2003 – one of several projects in an ongoing collaboration – and is thrilled to support Sherry's feature film directorial debut.
Rhonda Buckley
Rhonda Buckley has been a part of the media industry in Newfoundland and Labrador for 15 years. Most recently working in film, Rhonda has also worked in public relations, marketing and arts administration. Rhonda has produced two short films with writer/director Sherry White, "Diamonds In A Bucket" (2007) and "Spoiled (2008). Both films were official selections of the Toronto International Film Festival and the LA Short Film Festival. Rhonda was invited to produce Sherry's first feature film "Crackie" with Jennice Ripley.
Rhonda is the director/producer of the film documentaries "People Who Stay" (2008) and "The Real Matriarch" (2008) for CBC Atlantic TV and she currently has a documentary in development entitled "Vocation". Rhonda was selected for the Atlantic Film Inspired Script Program (2008) for her feature film treatment "A Catered Reception".
