"The Source" is Joshua Long's first short film. However, he started artistically as an actor and assistant stage director under the tutelage of Clint Mahle in northwest Florida.

He attributes most of his success to his theater background, which led him to join International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), the stagehand's union.

Since arriving in Tampa, Joshua has worked on several shorts including "Caged Dreams", "Gettin' Out", and has built a lasting relationship with Extreme Stunt & Driving Team from Orlando. His most recent project is as editor for a feature film "As Night Falls".

Michael Long

In a short period of time, Michael Long has built a strong track record as an independent film producer and first assistant director.

In addition to producing "The Source", Michael has produced festival-award-winning films "Omie WIse" and "One Last Stand" among others.

Michael has also worked as a First Assistant Director on a number of independent feature films, including recent Gasparilla Film Festival award winner "Prime of Your Life" (Special Mention Cinema Award, Best Actor). Other films include "As Night Falls", "Caged Dreams", "Experiment 7", "The Troubadour" and "Gettin’ Out".
