Thomas Lorne is a writer, director and artist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He attended the famous Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art in Dover, New Jersey, where he studied the art of the comic book narrative. From there he received his BFA, concentrating in Sociology and Film Theory, while also pursuing his interests in Philosophy and Women's Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
During his time there, he directed and edited a number of music videos for bands from the Milwaukee and Madison areas as well as creating a number of well-received avant-garde films and multimedia installations under the auspices of the UW-Milwaukee film program.
Attending the graduate film program at Florida State University, Thomas directed his first narrative films.
He earned his MFA in 2009 and is committed to making risky films that play with the conventions of narrative and delve deep into the philosophical underpinnings of his characters' worlds.
