From projectionist to producer, Chano Rodriguez has spent decades in the film business. Legend has it that he taught Gary Cooper how to ride a horse and Dennis Hopper how to ride a motorcycle. He has encouraged thousands of aspiring filmmakers to give up their dreams and pursue careers as mortgage brokers.
"Gentleman, we have got to go." examines this richly complex personality - half man, half myth - who in addition to his work in the film business has had careers as a motivational speaker, an employment counselor, a political commentator and a goodwill ambassador for the state of Florida. This film is must viewing for all those wanting to get into the film business, and all those struggling to get out of it.
And yes it's a comedy. A very funny comedy.
