The Art of Making Art
When: 4:00pm Saturday, April 10, 2010
Where: Dance Studio, HCC Performing Arts Building
Who: All Out Repertory Company
Tickets: $5
The All Out Repertory Company will serve up a documentary told in three parts: one part film, one part dance and one part theater. The production follows a series of clips, interviews and instructional film highlighting what it takes to produce a Tampa-grown collaboration.
All Out Repertory Company debuted the company's existence at the 2009 Ybor Festival of the Moving Image and this season turned its entire focus to working on pieces related to addiction and Dante's seven deadly vices. The group documented the process along the way as it was a unique experience for all artists involved.
Finding the acts of collaboration as intriguing as the performances themselves, the group documented the process as it unfolded. The result features live and cyber rehearsals, studio production and on the stage, clips and a little cocktail party thrown in for good measure.
The film will be shown with live performances from All Out Repertory's 2009-2010 season productions of "Addiction: The Moment of CLarity" and "The Bottom of the Glass: A Peculiar Vice".
